There’s the goalie pick!
It took until the sixth round, but the Flyers finally took a goaltender. They selected Roddy Ross with the 169th pick in the NHL Draft which in my humble opinion, is a nice pick. Ross played 25 games this past season with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL and posted a .919 save percentage in his rookie year. He faltered a bit in the playoffs, but overall it was a strong rookie season for Ross.
He was ranked as the 17th best North American goaltender and also won rookie of the month in January for the WHL. The Flyers picked Samuel Ersson late in last year’s draft and continue the trend of taking a goalie late with Ross this year.
